Brian Chan’s holistic approach to architecture and interiors began at Cornell University in the U.S. After receiving his architecture degree he worked in New York State on large scale institutional projects with Fred Thomas & Partners P.E., and in California on various residential development projects. Returning to Hong Kong he joined LWK & Partners Architects as a full partner, and then in 1992 he established his own firm which today has a team of 50+professionals.
Leslie Shih joined BCD in 2016, marking a return to Hong Kong after attending Vassar and Princeton in the U.S. and building a highly successful career in the U.S. and in China. He began his career in 1994 at Pei Cobb Freed & Partners where he worked with I.M. Pei and Henry Cobb on numerous landmark projects. Moving to China in 2005, Shih was instrumental in bringing the Tangula Luxury Trains project to fruition, creating a unique brand concept that balances exploration and modern luxury while guests traverse the Tibetan Plateau in complete comfort at an astonishing 5100m altitude.
